Using Pulse
Pulse (/operations) is your home for reading what your agents did and acting on it. It's where results land, where approvals wait, and where your personal to-dos live. This guide covers how to use it effectively.
The scopes
Pulse organizes work into a few scopes you switch between:
- Active — anything happening now or waiting on you: runs in progress, and steps paused on approvals or input requests.
- Feed — recent results as briefing cards and roll-up cards (the default). This is where completed activity lands for you to read.
- To-dos — your personal checklist. Capture a task, check it off, or hand one to an agent to do now.
If you install a Solutions pack that produces records (like the RFP pack), Pulse adds a dedicated record scope — e.g. an Opportunities tab — where per-record actions live.
Run history and schedules aren't in Pulse — they live on the Jobs page. Pulse is for reading and acting; Jobs is for watching things run.
Reading cards
The Feed reads like an email inbox: a compact list of cards (agent avatar, topic, headline, teaser, fact chips) beside a wider reading pane that shows the full briefing for the card you select — highlights, previews, the recommended next step, source links, and why you're seeing it. A roll-up card collapses a record-producing run into one entry that routes you into its scope tab. When a run finds nothing new, its card is suppressed (silent) but the run is still recorded, so history stays complete.
Use the sort and filter controls to focus — importance is one ordering option, not the only one.
Acting on cards
Every card offers inline actions, so you rarely leave Pulse:
- Ask — ask the agent a follow-up about the result (a quick read-only sub-run).
- Reply — draft an editable reply to the card's source (e.g. Reply in Gmail / Slack). Because it sends externally, it's held behind a review gate so you approve the exact content before it goes out.
Approvals and input
- Approval — the card shows what the agent plans to do. Click Approve to continue or Reject to stop the step.
- Input — the card shows the agent's question. Type your answer (or pick an option) and submit; the agent continues with your response.
To-dos
- Complete — mark a pending to-do done without leaving Pulse.
- Accept — move an agent-suggested to-do onto your active list.
- Dismiss — remove a card you don't need to act on.
- Hand to an agent — dispatch a to-do as a one-off run so an agent does it for you.
A daily routine
- Morning check — open Pulse. Handle anything in Active first (it's blocking).
- Read the Feed — scan overnight briefing and roll-up cards; ask, investigate, or draft from any card.
- Review suggestions — in To-dos, accept useful suggested tasks and dismiss the rest.
- Check pack scopes — if you run a pack (e.g. RFP), open its record tab for new opportunities.
Tips
- Active is urgent. An unanswered approval or input request blocks the whole run — clear those first.
- Roll-up cards route you. Click through a roll-up into its scope tab to act on individual records.
- Turn on Radar for ambient, read-only scans that post insight cards here — see Radar.
- Dismiss freely. Pulse refreshes constantly; dismissing seen cards keeps the Feed clean.
